Last night I had a conversation with someone who directly told me that teaching is nothing to do with research!!!!
She said "this is teaching university and you should focus on teaching..."
and I got this only after 4 months of starting my new job!
Now I am thinking.... doesn't she know that without research there can't be any research....
Anyway, I can't argue with old system but I am learning more and more everyday.
